(WAS £1350) WW2 JAPANESE OFFICER'S KATANA SWORD & SCABBARD

This is a nice WW2 Japanese Officer's Katana sword and scabbard, this sword also comes with a Japanese Sword Certificate as it was bought in Japan, the blade is in overall good condition, the handle is in good condition, with the grip covered in sharkskin, and it is tightly wrapped in the traditional manner with brown fabric although there is a tear and came away. Beneath the fabric on each side of the grip are the standard military menuki of three cherry blossoms, with a toned gilt finish. The tsuba guard is a little loose and has some movement but is the solid style with four raised cherry blossoms in relief. The scabbard retains its sword ring and in great condition.
