REPRODUCTION U.S. PARA GRISWOLD M1 GARAND BAG

This is a very nice reproduction U.S. Para Griswold M1 Garand bag in un-issued condition, also called a Cover Jump, It was designed to carry an M1 Garand rifle disassembled into three sections: barrel, stock, and trigger group. The bags were also used to carry the M1 Carbine, a Thompson SMG or a M3 Grease gun. The bag was then attached to the T-5 Parachute harness using a carabiner sewn onto the bag. Wartime pictures also show the bags being wedged behind the harness to make it more comfortable to jump with.
