WW2 GERMAN M30 GAS MASK

This is a very nice example of a M30 canvas & rubber gas mask which comes with its cleaning cloth, spring clip and spare lenses still in their issue packet. The canister appears to have been over painted in Luftwaffe blue which is also dated 41 on the latch. The original owners personal number is also painted on the snout of the gas mask and on the canister itself. However the outline of a previous owner's personal service number is visible. The gas mask is maker marked "bte" for Eisenwerke AG and dated 1941. The filter is dated 1940 and waffenampt. Display purposes only.
