WW2 U.S. AIRBORNE M1C CARBINE HIP HOLSTER

This is a special paratrooper holster designed to carry a folding stock M1 carbine during the jump. It is padded with felt on the leg side and has a leg strap. It was introduced in February 1943 and was first produced in Olive drab No3. This is a later 1944 dated example in Olive drab No7 and maker marked "HAV STCH.Co".
