WW2 BRITISH 40 PATTERN BATTLE DRESS BLOUSE

This is a 1944 dated 40 pattern battle dress blouse which retains its contract label which gives the makers name "J.Compton & Sons.LTD" and the size 9. This example has had a repair to the back of the blouse. However when field equipment is being worn the repair is not visible. The lining on the waist flap has frayed which is come on British battle dress as the flap tends to get caught on the teeth of the adjusting buckle.
