WW2 BRITISH 1922 PATTERN SERVICE DRESS TUNIC
This is a 1922 pattern service dress tunic, which is very similar to the 1902 pattern. The Tunic has the insignia of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, on the collar and buttons. The Divisional patch is that worn by members of the Eastern Command ( UK ). The rank chevrons is that of a Lance Corporal and has the trade badge for Mechanic, fitter and Armourer. The Tunic has the original owners personal service number and is "WD" stamped with the year acceptance letter code "U" for 1935. The tunic appears to have had a interesting history it is stamped with number of different Regiments "IOC" ( Innes of Court Regiment ), "GH" (Green Howards ).
