WW2 GERMAN MG34/ MG42 DRUM MAGAZINES & CARRIER

Two 50 round drum magazines and their carrier for use with the MG34 and MG42 machine guns. The correct designation of the drum magazines is the Gurttrommel 34 and the carrier is known as the Gurttrommeltrager 34. One of the drum magazines has the makers code "h.q.u" for Markes & Co and dated 1942. The other drum magazine is not dated by has the makers code "d.d.f." for Lohmann-Werke AG. The carrier is dated 1943 and has the makers code "959" for Felbeck & Picard, Stahlwarenfabrik. It also has a unit number "352" ( 352nd Infantry Division ) which was stationed on Omaha Beech on 6th June 1944. However it appears to have been on the carrier for a very long time.
