WW2 U.S. M1943 ENTRENCHING TOOL

This is a nice 1944 dated WW2 U.S. M1943 Entrenching tool and carrier, The M1943 entrenching tool which officially replaced the M1910 entrenching tool in late 1944. This example is maker marked 'Wood" and dated 1944. It comes with a 2nd pattern carrier which is dated 1945.
