WW2 U.S. M1 REAR SEAMED HELMET

This is a very good example of a rear seamed M1 helmet retaining all of its original finish. The rear seamed M1 was manufactured between November 1944 to August 1945 seeing service in the Pacific theatre of operations with very limited numbers getting to Europe before May 1945. The shell is stamped with the later "S" which identifies the maker "Schlueter Manufacturing Company St.Louis, Missouri. The liner has suffered with a split to the rear, retains all its straps, however it is missing the adjustable neck band. The liner is maker marked Capac Manufacturing Company.
