U.S. M1 FRONT SEAMED SWIVEL BALE HELMET

This is M1 front seamed swivel bale helmet which was in production from October 1943 to November 1944. This example actually dates to October 1944 when the stainless steel rim was changed to a manganese rim. The shell has had to coats of paint which was period applied. The chinstrap also retains brass fittings. The liner missing its chinstrap and liner neck band. It is maker marked with a letter "F" within a shield, which identifies the maker as "Firestone Tire & Rubber Company.
