This is a very rare German Iron Cross 1st class in cloth, this is either pre WW1 or WW1, with the black cloth cross in the middle surrounded by silver embroidery around the edges, although uneven in some areas.  read more

GERMAN ENTRENCHING TOOL

The straight entrenching tool was a WW1 carry over which was continued to be used by the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht, with the only difference being the carrier which was brown for imperial and Reichswehr. The Wehrmacht carrier normally was black in colour. This one has a stamping on the blade and the marking PP on the handle as you can see by the pictures.  read more
