This is the rarer 39 pattern leather field set, consisting of cross-straps both straps are dated 1941 and are maker marked Smith Englefield & Co.LTD and D.M.&S.LTD. WW2 U.S. ARMY AIRFORCE B-15 FLIGHT JACKET

This is a good example of a B-15 flight jacket which was introduced in 1944 and retains the army air force insignia on the left sleeve. The B-15 was the first flight jacket to incorporate the pen/pencil pocket on the sleeve which became the standard feature on all later pattern flight jackets. The Talon made is zipper is in good working order and the the jacket is approximately a size 42 regular.  read more
