This is a very nice WW2 French gas mask bag with its original carry strap, marked inside D.S.C and the date which is 1940. The bag is made from a heavy duty khaki canvas and features a leather tab to close the front as well as a shoulder strap. This is a 37 pattern brace attachment which allowed the cross-straps to be attached to the belt, without the need to wear ammunition pouches. Its difficult to make out but it looks like a 1943 date.  read more
