Marked to the reverse side in heavy ink 3 letter code b.n.z, date ‘1941 MPS 1/100’ pouch to the front of the strap for carrying accessories such as a spare magazine for the machine gun. This is an officers haversack, which is also referred to as the valise bag. The haversack and shoulder strap are both maker marked "MECo" for Mills Equipment Company and dated 1942. The world "Lifeline" has been written on the top of the flap.  read more
