GERMAN STRAIGHT ENTRECHING TOOL

This is a straight entrenching tool which was a carry over from World War 1 and continued to be used by the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht. The leather carrying case was normally black in colour for the Wehrmacht but brown for Imperial and Reichswher. This example is in fair condition and has a very faint makers stamp. This is a nice WW2 German Rucksack/Backpack which is fitted with canvas/leather carry straps, also with its clear Gerat Nr and Werk Nr on the back, the 2 leather fasteners are in good condition at the front, on the inside there is some damage to the divider but overall all good, there is also some stampings to the inside of the lid which are quite hard to make out.  read more
