This is a very nice German 1889 Pattern sword with the makers Erfurt, as worn by a German Infantry officer during the period 1889 to 1918. The sword features the classic wire wrapped black ‘curved’ fish skin grip with full wire wrap, retaining the Royal Monogram badge for Kaiser Wilhelm II. This is a 1938 dated Civil Defence gas mask which looks like it was re-issued in 1946. This example is in good condition but the harness at the back has hardened, comes with a number of Eye shields which are dated 1943 as well.
